PCOS: Possible New Herbal Help
Poly cystic ovarian syndrome occurs in one out of 10 younger women globally.
It is most likely due to endocrine disrupting chemicals in our environment and exposure in the egg, sperm, placenta, etc.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is somewhat like “menopause”, but occurring in much younger women.
It is a generalized pro-inflammatory condition.
PCOS can lead to severe suffering. Harshness in trying to lose weight, feeling right in one’s body, or with trying to get pregnant.
PCOS can cause hormonal imbalances, irregular periods, excess androgen levels (elevated testosterone for example), and cysts in the ovaries.
Symptoms can range from mild to severe and can change at different life stages.
PCOS is not easy to help.
It’s what is called a “progesterone resistance” disorder.
That is why oral contraceptives may help in the short run. But they can worsen issues in the long run.
Often it takes very high dosages of natural progesterone along with myo-inositol and various herbs like spearmint taken as 4 cups of strong tea made from loose leaves, on an on-going basis.
Weight loss is very challenging. Some are helped with the new semiglutides and some are not.
There might be new help on the way.
