The weather folks aren’t exact, we know that.
But with kayaking, we often check their recommendations, and go by that.
We check wind, rain, and temp.
Last Sunday they said storms in the afternoon, clear in the early AM.
So Jennifer and Bridgette and I went out on the water by 8:30 AM, putting in at the Austin Rowing Center on Lady Bird Lake in Austin.
About 45 minute into our 2 hour plus cardio run, it began to pour.
Not gently.
But pelting.
We were in open water and the rain was coming down at an angle directly hitting our faces.
Filling my kayak. Trying to scoop out water. While paddling forward.
Then these angry winds came up.
