This is the title of Mercola’s article today.
Makes it sound like estrogen is the carcinogen.
I have been going through the estrogen studies and re-analyses for the past few months (and past few decades really, in fact, wrote books on it) forming a time-line for Everything Estrogen, coming soon!
The majority, most of the articles looking at estrogen’s action’s on breast tissue etc. are that ESTROGEN PROTECTS AGAINST getting cancer, dying prematurely, heart disease, dementias and much more.
What a disservice to women.
To all of us.
If one has the honor and from all his hard work to have such a large platform, why drive inaccurate fear? This is just using fear to sell, sell, sell. It’s nauseating.
And it simply is not true.
Yes endocrine disruptors are a major threat presently to humanity. I wrote one of the main books on this, Hormone Deception. I was a “Distinguished Hormone Scholar” at an estrogen environmental think tank (Center For Bioenvironmental Research at Tulane and Xavier Universities) with the scientists who unveiled the estrogen endocrine disruption/cancer, etc. story.
But endocrine disruptors are the culprits by how they make natural hormones that are naturally protective, act unnnaturally. Especially on our genes during prenatal periods.
Estrogen is a powerful protective hormone.
It’s modern pollutants that alter her natural protective prowess. She is not bad. Her replacement is one of the most powerful and safe anti-aging tools that we have.
I had breast cancer 30 years ago due to the most powerful endocrine disruptor exposure in my mom’s womb: DES.
And I have been on estrogen replacement for almost 28 years.
Why would Mother Nature make the very hormone that drives humanity be pro-carcinogenic?
Makes no sense!
Fear mongering! Fear sells.
For shame!
It’s not the estrogen that’s the bad girl.
It’s the man-made chemicals that futz with natural protective actions! That then create unnatural outcomes.
Mercola’s opening statement has been withdrawn and reversed by the very authors that first stated it!
Estrogens are linked to serious health risks, including cancer. The National Institutes of Health added steroidal estrogens used in estrogen replacement therapy and oral contraceptives to its list of known human carcinogens in December 2002
WRONG WRONG WRONG!
Knowledge is power.
But fear mongering and stating things inaccurately to rile folks up inappropriately and unscientifically, is rather weak.

Mercola has done much good, for sure. But he has become such a sensationalist, that you can’t trust what he is saying or else you are responding to “yellow journalism”.
Wonder if Mercola is on testosterone replacement?
Anyone know him well enough to inquire?
Why won’t he accept my offer to have a back and forth with him on his podcast?

That dr. Mercola is refusing to meet for discussion with you and others, that is alert for me to not trust dr. Mercola anymore and stop reading his columns. He is contradicting his self when he criticizes others who does same thing, refusing discussion about facts and studies from other doctors and scientists. And you bet I tell people around me to be very careful about trusting dr.Mercola !!!

Thank goodness for you and a few other credible women talking about the truth for hormones. I do know what the lack of estrogen does to a woman's life and health and sanity. Easy for a man to talk about something that he knows nothing about...
