Hormone Therapies Protect Against Heart Disease, Most Cancers & Aging
Yet too many doctors and women have NOT learned about this science!
More women die from heart disease than breast cancer.
The stats:
301,280 women died from heart disease in 2019.
42,000 women die a year from breast cancer.
One in five women dies from heart disease, not breast cancer.
Most of these heart disease related deaths occur “after” a woman enters menopause.
Why?
Younger women have more estrogen on board.
Estrogen protects hearts.
As estrogen levels lower during menopause, levels of bad cholesterol rise.
Women usually undergo menopause somewhere between 48 to 52 years of age, leading to a decline in estrogen. Plus, increases in follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
Less estrogen and more FSH:
Put hearts at risk.
Keeps fat on bellies,
Makes bones vulnerable to osteoporosis,
Can cause more brain fog and risk of dementia’s
Many women will spend 1/3rd to 1/2 of their entire lives in menopause.
But we worry that estrogen causes breast cancer. And we worry more about breast cancer than heart disease.
Presently, many women and doctors don’t consider estrogen a safe option to protect us as we age.
We have been engrained by our doctors and news media that estrogens cause cancer.
However, the largest epidemiologic study ever run on hormones and cancer (among other health issues) by our U.S. government, which came out in May 2022 and shockingly did not make headline news, clearly showed:
If women 65 years or older had been on estrogen therapies:
They had a 33% decreased risk of getting breast cancer.
As well as a 33% decreased risk of getting many other cancers - ovarian, uterine, lung and colorectal.
In other words, estrogen therapies protect AGAINST getting breast cancer. As well as other cancers.
