Entering menopause, we may stop getting migraines, or start.

Partly, headaches may be driven by estrogen going too much “UP” and/or too much “DOWN” rather than staying “LEVEL”.

That is one reason I have the herbs in the ratio they are in, and with higher dosages of PABA, in Hormones Balance & Protect, as it keeps hormone levels more level. Reducing estrogen’s ups and downs in ladies and testosterone’s ups and downs in males.

I don’t recommend pellets all the time. But some patients and docs love them.

One issue is levels of hormones going higher than normal early on right after insertion of the pellet, only to plummet to very low levels before the next insertion. This can cause issues in some patients.

But with these products, their hormone levels stay pretty calm and steady throughout this period - until their next insertion. So pellet docs and patients love these new products.

But they are great to help postmenopausal women on BHRT avoid headaches. Because they keep estrogen levels so much more even keel.

Migraine headaches are more common among women than males.

Due to various health risks, migraines can be challenging to treat in the elderly.

While hormone therapy is effective in relieving many menopause symptoms, its safe use in women with migraines has been unconfirmed.

But out comes this new analysis from the Women’s Health Initiative.
