Life As Curriculum: U.S. is raising young adults to be permanent patients/customers & totally okay with it.
Life as curriculum.
Always learning.
Need less symposiums and more observing. Of what shows up on the plates in front of us.
This past morning I headed out, via Dallas, to MO, for the most arduous symposium of my year.
It’s a very smart nutrition group.
The key is that it is 24 hours of CME instruction.
I need 24 hrs/yr. to maintain licensure.
You can’t lecture for CMEs to other docs without being licensed.
That’s lots of sitting. Makes a round butt square, ha, just saying.
Texted Lyft. To head out to AUS airport.
Car pulls up. Very high-end Mercedes suburban, gotta be almost a $100,000 car.
Wow.
The talkative nice good looking younger male starts to chat.
Within a few minutes I learn he gained 100+ lbs. during the first year of Covid.
So his doctor, instead of putting him on a sensible food intake and exercise out put program, recommended a gastric sleeve.
