Magnesium is one of God’s design inside the human body that has a glitch. A flaw.

What is it?

The more stress, the more magnesium simply “rinses” out of the body.

We actually need more magnesium when we are stressed. But instead of keeping it under stressful conditions, we start to lose it out of our urine, sweat, and even our stools.

Magnesium is not easy to “hold” inside the body.

Magnesium can be thought of as “captured” sunlight. In that it is made inside the chlorophyll molecule by the action of sunlight.

That’s why the saying “eat your greens” - to get your magesium.

Magnesium acts as “Nature’s Valium” in that it nudges enzymes that allows the body to relax, especially muscles.

Magnesium helps lessen anxiety and stress reactions.

Magnesium helps regulate brain function by stimulating GABA1 receptors, which slow down brain activity and help you relax. That’s why night time magnesium helps some to sleep.

Magnesium limits cortisol release, preventing this stress hormone from reaching the brain. 

Thus, magnesium is sometimes called a natural Benzo.

Magnesium stimulates the production of serotonin and melatonin, which can have calming effects and boost mood. 

Magnesium is necessary for the hypothalamus to regulate the pituitary and adrenal glands, which are responsible for responses to stress. 

Magnesium comes attached to diverse “carrier salts” that alter its actions and helps us help patients, or ourselves, in many ways.
