Melatonin Gummie Issues?
The majority of melatonin gummies sold in the US (“not” including Doctor’s lines which are analyzed monthly) may contain up to 347% more melatonin than is listed on the label, or… none.
This finding makes a great case for purchasing Doctors’ Line nutraceuticals such as Biotics Research, Xymogen, etc.
Investigators found that consuming some products as directed could expose consumers, including children, to doses that are 40 to 130 times greater than what's recommended.
One brand had zip melatonin. Another product didn't contain any melatonin but did contain 31.3 mg of CBD.
Melatonin
Melatonin is a hormone.
It fights cancer while we sleep.
It tamps down cortisol.
It protects our gut archival immunity.
Melatonin is pretty amazing.
But this whole dive into this “bad press” may be a push to get it removed as OTC since it is being proven by recent joint Blask/National Cancer Institute research to help fight cancer, even when taken as OTC.
Kids typically don’t need melatonin.
Melatonin is made in the dark. It’s why bats can harbor serious viruses and not get ill. They live in the dark thus their tissues contain more melatonin than any other living organism.
Moral of this story: Stick with doctors’ lines. Worth it!
