I’ll get to Halle and the new “ugh” stuff in a bit. But as you can see I was a bit emotional writing this. So exasperating.

Today’s menopausal “is-ness”:

If a doctor, especially a gynecologist, is asked by a patient if they’re a candidate for hormone therapies, but this doc has not been trained in this medicine, that patient is apt to get: The “wrong” answer.

This is what has been happening all over the U.S.

A survey was sent out to doctors as to who actually got any training in hormones regarding women and peri and post menopause. In medical schools/residencies.

Almost none.

Most regular primary docs got no education in menopausal hormones or care.

OB/GYN docs surveyed, demonstrated that only 31.3% reported having a menopause curriculum in their residency program.

This means 69% of OB/GYN doc’s had NO menopausal hormone training.

Who ran this survey?
