In today’s world with post Covid changes and tariff scares, it’s hard to know what’s what.

Perhaps the chemicals noted in this study, in chickens, in another country, might not translate exactly into what are in our American chickens.

Or maybe we have worse.

This study was published in a pharmaceutical peer review journal.

It’s from Pakistani researchers along with Monash University gerontologists.

Monash University is the same place that gave us the Monash FODMAP diet.

So they are pretty “on” it.

Chicken consumption is increased worldwide.

The daily consumption of the chicken meat, worldwide, has exceeded that of any other meat product including fish and red meat.

Most folks are trying to eat more healthy meat.

We buy, cook and munch chicken.

Chickens normally take three months time to grow into a broiler, the size fit for its consumption.

The contemporary poultry industry uses feed for the chickens that enables them to grow to a complete size in just one and a half months.

Faster growth.

More chickens.

Raised to be killed.

For us to eat.

Inhumane methods.

And don’t forget, “We are what we eat” is not a trivial statement.

When I lived in the ashrams with Swami Satchitananda, a huge influence on my long life, he would often speak of the “vibration” in food. And it’s effects on our humanity and spirits.

The feed given to modern chicks is designed for them to grow FAST.

Super growth.

This is accomplished with the feed being supplemented with many nutritional and non-nutritional products.

This research group (Pakistan and Monash) wanted to know, how do pesticides in chicken effect human hormones?
