Just back from the Ozone Therapies: Frontiers in Ozone Conference. In Santa Barbara, CA.
There were 250 docs of all kinds, with lots of smart innovative dentists.
I was giving a talk on Estrogen Vindication to a smaller group in a side room.
Quite a number of dentists are now getting into hormonal medicines. It is something they can do legally. There is a need. It brings in revenue. So, keep this in mind when asking your local compounders who in the area is an expert in BHRT. It may be a dentist.
But always ask your local compounders who they get the best testimonials on. This is where we track great providers.
There were quite a number of seasoned speakers there talking about how all they now do in practice, is ozone therapy, instead of nutraceuticals, let alone many other meds.
They shared using ozone therapies for many issues from POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) to eye disease, to chronic migraines. Let alone joint issues like frozen shoulders!
Fascinating.
But how you use the ozone and what machines and how to stay safe, as you can’t inhale the stuff, is all critical.
I flew out Friday, took all day, lectured in heels (bad me) on Saturday (wanting to look “Powerful” and heck, if Nancy Pelosi could do that long-standing set of hours in 5-inch heels in her 80s, I was game to try. Then, I flew back on Sunday.
Lots of delays. Huge amount of sitting.
Presently having horrific sciatica.
Bodies are always something.
Look at how much maintenance we need for cars. And, humans, yes us, we are so much more complex.
Health comes from constant vigilance, discipline strategies, and somewhat, luck and genes. Ah, those “genetic deals” of our genetic cards!
DES, that medication my mother was given when pregnant with me (several times starting early on) damages connective tissues and discs. I have no discs left at all in much of my lower spine and yet have no back pain. At all.
But sciatica, with all this travel to share all this information, yes, that has been a big bugaboo.
Doing high dose enzymes (like Biotic’s Intenzyme, or Nattokinase, etc.), gabapentin, and now may try some ozone rectal insulfation to see if that helps, too.
I have a machine and all the apparatus here. I’ll let you know.
But you can’t inhale ozone or it harms lung tissue.
When dentists do ozone, they have machines to take it out of the air.
I did meet a dentist with a home unit to do that and we are working on getting me one. I have been using a fan but they say that is not really ideal to protect your lung tissue.
The moral of this story: ozone is great but you must work with an “Ozone Whisperer”.
I have done regenerative medicine interventions, but when you have higher uric acid levels, you can’t do PRP. Contraindicated. So all these functional alternatives have nuances that seasoned docs should know about and/or need to pass forward.
Bodies.
High maintenance.
For all of us.
But we live in a material world that always has two sides. The light and the dark.
The days our bodies are here for us and the days we are hanging on for dear life to tame the pain or the mystery of what’s going on, happen to us all.
But it’s all worth the struggle and the curriculums.
But… I hate that old adage, “No pain, no gain!” Definitely not a truism in many cases.
Sending love your way.
Send some sciatica healing prayers mine.
Dr. B.
Dr. B - you are a Chiropractor, how about getting some decompression and laser on your lower back?
Come on girl! :)
Love your content, thank you for your passion.
Dr. Hoeffling
Thanks so much, as ever, Dr. B, and what an amazing junket, you are an inspiration!
Totally jibe with the sciatica issue, I've just purchased a 'hypervibe' machine, in fact, to help counter issues of symmetry & tone in bones, muscles, and re. bodily tissues (the whole lymph business, blood circulation etc) and of course general bodily issues, keeping the organs in good form etc.. You've probably checked one of these out before, probably know all about them, but looks as if this might be one helpful 'path' forward in general for us dudes 'n dudettes who are getting with the aging deal and are working affirmatively to stay groovy going forward.
O.K., now I'm reading the other comments here, so great. What a wonderful community you are creating, we are in very good hands! Wishing you much luck in feeling better soon, & sending joy and peace out to you for happy holidays ~ Cheers! Kristin in Vancouver
