I had sent a patient to a relatively newish functional medicine practice right outside of Austin. It’s well run. Has many services. I go there myself. It has one of the nicest energies of any clinic I have had the honor to walk into, refer to, or use.
It feels marvelous the minute you step in the door.
It was opened by an MD and a pharmacist.
The support staff are very smart and extraordinarily emotionally sophisticated.
This founder used to be a hospitalist.
A hospitalist cares for patients inside a hospital.
He told me the environment in the hospital was toxic. Incredibly toxic.
He said there’s a lot of power tripping, anger, and the opposite of a feeling of healing.
But he never felt “fear” surrounding what he was doing, just toxic bad energy that things get done fast and furious and without “heart”.
