The liver is an amazing organ.
But it can have a continuum of damage.
Fat can bloat and damage liver cells (hepatocytes). Then fibrosis can set in. Then scarring, called cirrhosis, which has been thought up till now, to be irreversible, can occur.
So a possible continuum is… healthy liver > fatty liver > fibrotic liver > scarred liver.
But wait…
Now there may be a way to reverse cirrhosis, or scar tissue in the liver. Usually thought to be irreversible committing someone to a tragic end.
What helps?
