IMO - Intestinal Methane Overgrowth
There are many forms of SIBO. We had the world’s expert on SIBO, Dr. Sam Rahbar, speak on SIBO, early on in the PRO level. If you are in the PRO level you should listen to my introductory talks on SIBO before Dr. Sam was to come on, to bring us all up to date, and then his amazing talk and even a pdf of some extra pearls.
Dr. Sam said methane SIBO is the most complicated. It often is a “flashing” red light that there are other stealth infections in the body. That is why, in Naples, we got the "whole blood irradiation" machine that attaches to the ozone tube, so we can address infections we might not even yet know to test for. I try to get at least one ozone/whole blood irradiation treatment every time I go to Naples, to “houseclean” pathogens, so to speak.
PS I just wrote Dr. Sam again and asked him to come back and talk about SIBO/IMO. We shall see if he has the time presently.
But now "methane" SIBO has a new name. IMO.
This stands for "Intestinal Methane Overgrowth".
You know how we all seem to love more and more details. Oh my.
Who gets IMO?
Those with IBS are more likely to have IMO. This is because IBS is a diagnosis of "exclusion", meaning that the doctor couldn’t find a cause for the patient’s digestive complaints.
About 70% of IBS sufferers may have IMO/SIBO (1).
