It was the day after Xmas.
My dental expert was open for emergencies. This lady was in the waiting room as she was a “driver” for her neighbor, a younger woman in her 20’s in a severe amount of tooth pain. This woman had driven her neighbor the 30 miles here to hopefully get out of pain.
We started to chat.
She shared she had a birthday coming up. This lady driver waiting in the waiting room (that’s what we do in that room, lol) and I got to chatting.
“Bet you can’t guess my age,” she laughed wide.
She was right.
This woman in the pic next to me (simply just had to get a pic of her amazing self) is about to be 84!
She looks radiant.
Her energy is what was really striking.
Strong.
Gave off an energetic, healthy aura.
A very young aura. She appeared only to be in her 50’s or early 60’s!
“What do you attribute your amazing health to?” I inquired.
“I never stop working out. I play pickle ball and tennis daily!”
“Both?” My eyebrows hit my hair line, ha.
“Yep!”
“Doubles or singles?” Just had to ask.
Tennis is a demanding sport. Especially on the joints. Especially if you play singles and have to run all over the court.
“Ah, you know tennis!” She laughed.
“My mother was state champion in Illinois,” I smiled back.
“I play both singles and doubles. But when I play singles I have to play with someone who is way, way younger than me or else I just smash them to smithereens!”
Moving.
Pushing your body to its limits… regularly, sanely.
There are very few supplements that are as powerful as regular moderately intense exercise.
We are close to this new year, 2024.
Make your New Year’s resolutions to move in any way that you enjoy and will continue to do with regularity.
It is never too late to start.
The benefits pile on.
Consider dancing. One of my fav sports!
Let’s all change the face of aging!
Knowledge is power, but motivation and discipline translate it into your life force!

I love it!!
Having just played my first Pickleball games ever, and having to squash the muscle memory of my tennis playing years ago, I’m trying to understand how this beautiful lady plays BOTH games regularly. Brain adaptations, no doubt. 😊
