So important and needed. Thank you.

regarding the dosing : needed qualified professional who will check the blood levels of the hormones i.e. estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, pregnenolone. Thyroid needs to be balanced as well. Prescribed BHRT according to the need and follow every 3 months until it is stabile. Everybody is different. The guidelines are in the book by Dr B. Finding the professional can be difficult as the training of physicians has not been provided - lamented by the leading authors and Dr B.

Hi Dr B, thank you for all of the good info you provide! I’ve read Hormone Deception and I am on BHRT because of it. I started 10 years post menopause. I’m 66. I wish I would have “found” you earlier! I have a quick question about your Receptor Detox. It has 100% iodine. Will the iodine interfere with levothyroxine (for my Hashimotos)?

In most cases iodine does not harm thyroid autoimmunity but rather helps, it's really rare and this is another area, in my opinion, of major misundestanding in the literature. The 3 mg between the two bottles is what 7 human trials shows makes lumpy bumpy (fibrocystic) breasts normalize as iodibne protects breast architecture. thyroid hormone is made of iodine. all hormones need iodine in binding domain, it's another thing online is boosting unecessary fear not that it never cause issues as physiology is rarely black and white. dlb

Thank you. I wasn’t so much afraid of taking the iodine as much as I was wondering if it will interfere with the Levothyroxine. From my limited understanding, I am assuming that I would have to monitor and tweak my levothyroxine dosage if I’m taking iodine? I’m asking because I really want to try the Receptor Detox to enhance the effectiveness of my BHRT.

Sorry - I am on both progesterone and estrogen. My previous post makes it seem as if I am only on progesterone. I am just wondering because the study showed the benefit for the estrogen only arm.

What about women who are on progesterone only? Is the progesterone dangerous? I am on compounded bioidentical progesterone and estrogen, but I am worried about the progesterone.

progesterone is not a dangerous hormone. where is all this fear coming from, it puzzels me. but all hormones should be individualized and balanced working with a practitioner well trained in this space. best dlb
