Thank you for a really interesting discussion on the benefits of HRT. I just started taking estradiol. 15 years ago I had a full hysterectomy. Wish my doctors would have recommended it years ago. Not sure if I should be on any other hormones. I already have osteopenia and other health issues related to low hormone levels (e.g., sagging skin).

I hear soy is also good for preventing breast cancer.

an in the know doc would measure all your hormones to assess need of replacing if they have not, they may not be the best for you. dlb

can start at ANY age but need a doc who took my seminar to know how as NO docs seem to know or trust this even though the science clearly says this over and over but the standard of care of hormones does not reflect the science. dlb

estrogen window is not accurate you can start hormone at ANY age even 90 but need a doc that knows how but the benefits are the MOST the first 5 years but still benefits all along the literature is clear on this but even ACOG does not follow the literature. Women in the US too often are literally screwed, sorry, i am becoming a crusty ole fart with no filter. dlb
