A conversation I have daily with every female that comes into our clinic to discuss menopausal and perimenopausal symptoms. They are all extraordinarily scared of “hormones,” but have been on OCPs for 10, 20 even 30 years.🤦🏼‍♀️

I've never understood this either. There is such a push for women to be put on OCPs, yet when you say the word HRT, it is so often demonized. Such a great post Dr. B!

Is Estradiol taken vaginally a Bioidentical hormone?

Delivery mode has nothing to do with what makes a Hormone bioidentical it’s just if the molecule is exactly like the same molecule that men, women, boys, and girls bodies contain.

I see. Is Estradiol which is prescribed by many gynecologist a bioidentical hormone? If not how do you get biodentical hormones?

it's prescribed and a few places now sell it OTC like Quick Silver. dlb
