Off to Westlake Dermatology this mid afternoon. Will keep you in the loop. Why to do this? To avoid skin cancer, which I am at very high risk. To build more collagen and gently hold back the Mack Truck of Aging. One of my beautiful, healthy and very smart nurse esthetician dear friends, who taught many other nurse estheticians over the years, would always say, “Do one thing for your face a year at least, and start early, to keep you younger longer.”
You inspired me to check out CO2 lasers. It’s a bit hard to compare when one doesn’t know much… but in my city there’s a deep CO2 for $1800 and another for $3200. The less expensive one includes a numbing injection and Valium! Was your twilight helpful for you….and how are you doing today??

I cannot think of any health benefits you gain by heating your skin from the inside. If you experience facial tightening, that doesn't mean anything good is happening to your cells. Are you sure you want to do this? I know skin doctors try to sell everything they can, but... One thing we can see is that women who put products on their skin age quickly.
A quick fix can be getting smaller, lighter eyeglasses, so that less downwards pressure goes on your face. And building bone mass, so skin doesn't sag. Face yoga type exercises are a thing I have seen elderly women do successfully -- I remember this one woman was in her 80s, she did face yoga religiously, and her cheekbones and under jaw were superb.
What do you think of Photodynamic Therapy ( Bluelight therapy) for precancer treatment of the face?
This is what my dermotologist recomends. I will ask them about CO2 laser, but don't think they offer it. Skin cancer is my family's cancer of choice and we all have had surgerys. I , too am worried about my face.
Perhaps it is the same treatment?

Good luck. Hopefully not too painful and you heal quickly. I’ll be looking for your updates and honest opinion when all is said and done.
Thanks for sharing! So this one of your big guns! I know you have shared this in the past. Great feedback. Good luck with your procedure!
